Amazon Image Requirements

Check a listing image against Amazon image requirements before you upload the file. Pass means the longest side is at least 1,000 px, the file is 10 MB or less, and a main image is on pure white. Adult clothing uses a model instead.

Example, until you choose a file

Pass

2,000 × 2,000 px, 2.4 MB. Longest side is 2,000 px. Zoom is on. The main image corners are white.

A file can pass and the listing can still be missing scale, materials, or the product in use. This check does not measure the 85% fill, text, or props.

Frequently asked questions

Amazon image requirements are a longest side of at least 500 px to upload and 1,000 px for zoom, a file of 10 MB or less, and JPEG, PNG, TIFF, or a GIF that does not animate. The main image is the product on pure white (RGB 255, 255, 255). Adult clothing is the exception: Amazon wants that photo on a model. The 2,000 × 2,000 JPEG on this page passes.

The main image size is at least 1,000 px on the longest side so zoom works, and no more than 10,000 px. The example is 2,000 × 2,000 px. A file from 500 to 999 px can upload, and zoom stays off.

Amazon requires at least one image, the main image. A listing can hold 9 images. The other slots can show the product in use, the size, and the material.

Amazon fits the listing image in a square. A 2,000 × 2,000 file is 1:1. A file that is not square can still pass this check. Amazon shows it in a square frame.

Put the product on pure white for the main image, keep text and props out of that frame, and export at least 1,000 px on the longest side. The 2,000 × 2,000 example on this page passes.
