Pass
2,000 × 2,000 px, 800 KB. Both sides meet the 2,000 px recommendation, and the file is under 1 MB.
A file can pass and the listing can still be missing scale, materials, or the product in use.

Frequently asked questions
Etsy recommends listing photos of at least 2,000 px wide and 2,000 px tall. The first photo should be at least 635 px on both sides so the listing is not pushed down in search. These are the photo dimensions, not the item's measurements.
Etsy's listing image policy says the photos have to be yours, taken by you or taken for you. A screenshot of another shop's listing is not that.
At least 2,000 pixels on both the width and the height. A 2,000 × 2,000 JPEG under 1 MB passes this check. Etsy Help still states that recommendation.
Etsy's size article does not set a count. Make the first photo the one that clears 2,000 px on both sides. Later photos should use the same shape so the listing does not jump between crops.
